How It Works — Professional Network
A concise walkthrough of the application, verification, grading, and listing process for professionals who apply to the SpecToDeck network.
Model — Pay a membership fee. Get vetted. Get referrals. Clear hand-off on successful client match.
1. Apply
Complete the online intake with your bio, credentials, service areas, and upload verification documents (licenses, certificates, ID). Keep client data out of uploads.
2. Verification
We verify credentials through our provider network and internal heuristics. Some cases require manual review; you'll be notified if more information or interview is needed.
3. Grading & Ranking
Deterministic scoring evaluates experience, credentials, portfolio, testimonials and availability to assign a grade used for search ranking and referrals.
4. Publishing
Verified and approved professionals are published to the public directory. You control what contact details are shown and can opt out anytime.
5. Engagement
Clients contact you via the platform or the contact information you provide. We surface matches based on skills, geography, and grade.
6. Privacy & Security
We store sensitive documents securely (encrypted at rest). Only the verification team and you can access raw uploads; we use signed URLs for client downloads.
Grading Rubric
We score applicants across six weighted categories to produce a single grade used for ranking and referrals. The categories and weights are:
- Identity & Credentials (25%) — Valid licenses, certifications, and experience level.
- Specialization Depth & Relevance (20%) — How closely your practice aligns with high‑demand subjects.
- Reputation & Service History (25%) — Testimonials, portfolio, service volume, and turnaround history.
- Geographic Relevance (10%) — Ability to serve the client's jurisdiction or region.
- Professional Conduct & Compliance (10%) — Code acceptance, privacy commitments, disclosures, and checks.
- Responsiveness & Reliability (10%) — Typical response times, completion rate, and client satisfaction.
Each category is scored against sub-criteria, combined by weight to produce your final numeric score and grade (A+ through F). Higher grades improve your visibility in search results and increase referral priority.

Hand off
- A clearcut hand off to professional (SpecToDeck does not process payments for service render thereafter).
- SpecToDeck tracks outcomes via client reviews for professional grading.
- (Optional) SpecToDeck can offer optional paid features for contract bound service provided by in-network members.
